Founder

Alphonso Bailey, motivational speaker, subject of the video Down But Not Out and founder of Down But Not Out Communications, is a talented local personality who firmly believes in the power of faith and self in changing lives.

Down But Not Out is a story of self-discovery and self-redemption. It's a story of losing one's way and making wrong choices, but with faith, determination and the right attitude, turning one's ultimate dreams into reality.

Down But Not Out Communications keeps this story alive and shares a message of hope - a living example of how faith and self-discipline can change a life.

Alphonso Bailey had everything going for him:
a good family, talent and a football scholarship to Kentucky State University. Drugs and crime sent him to prison. Faith and self-discipline changed him. Through Alphonso, viewers see not only the consequences of bad choices, but also how they can move beyond and improve their lives in any circumstance. His inspiring message shows viewers that difficulties and trials are only temporary and that they can change in a moment's time.

Alphonso challenges people to work actively to make positive changes in their lives. He reminds them that regardless of age, bad choices lead to bad consequences, but there is always hope.

Alphonso has spoken to a variety of groups on his life story. His inspiring message is targeted at at-risk youth groups, corrections, faith-based organizations, church youth groups, junior-high and high school teens, schools, youth athletic groups, professional sports groups, and anyone needing a message of hope. No matter how bad things are right now, he can help people see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. His motivation has helped hundreds of local youth and adults make better choices in their lives.

Alphonso also created the "Down But Not Out" Workshop, a five-week program for the Hamilton County Community Corrections facility in Noblesville, IN, and the Pendleton Correctional Facility in Pendleton, IN, where he addresses inmates on changing their lives and improving their attitudes.

Currently, Alphonso lives in Fishers, IN with his wife, Marsha, and three great daughters.
